Are Tesla Robotaxis available in Columbus, Ohio?

There is no bookable Tesla Robotaxi service in Columbus today.

Tesla currently lists Robotaxi service in limited areas of Florida and Texas. Its support page says the initial fleet uses Model Y vehicles. Tesla separately describes Cybercab as its purpose-built autonomous vehicle for future rides.

FLEET AVAILABILITY

Can an independent Columbus operator buy Cybercabs?

Not through Tesla’s published fleet-ordering program as of this update. Tesla currently lists Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck as fleet-ordering options; Cybercab is not included.

Our plan is conditional: purchase and locally operate 3–4 Cybercabs only if Tesla establishes a legitimate commercial path for independent fleets and all applicable operating requirements can be satisfied.

LOCAL CONTEXT

Columbus has hosted autonomous-vehicle testing before.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reported in 2018 that Columbus joined DriveOhio’s Autonomous Vehicle Pilot Program for connected and autonomous vehicle testing. Testing history is not the same thing as an approved, public robotaxi service.
