PRELIMINARY FLEET PLAN

Our plan for a locally owned Columbus Cybercab fleet

We intend to purchase and locally operate 3–4 Tesla Cybercabs if Tesla permits independent commercial ownership and every applicable operating requirement can be met.

This is an early-stage plan.

It is not an announced launch, an approved transportation service, a reservation program or a promise that Cybercabs will become available on a particular date.

WHY START NOW?

A useful fleet starts with real local demand.

ZIP codes and ride interests help show where people could most value future autonomous rides—from commuting and airport travel to errands and evenings out. Joining does not reserve a ride or guarantee future coverage.

If we publish demand findings, they will be aggregated and anonymized. Individual signup details will remain private.

STILL UNDECIDED

Important details cannot be responsibly set yet.

  • Launch date, pricing and operating hours
  • Exact service boundaries and airport availability
  • Accessibility features and booking platform
  • Charging, maintenance and passenger-support locations

Those choices depend on Tesla’s eventual commercial offering, vehicle capabilities, insurance, applicable rules and operating economics.

LAUNCH CHECKLIST

Five gates before accepting a ride

  1. Purchase or operator pathCybercab must be offered on terms that allow an independent local commercial fleet.
  2. Safety and complianceThe vehicle and service must satisfy applicable federal, state and local requirements.
  3. Insurance and operationsCommercial coverage, registration, charging, maintenance and response procedures must be ready.
  4. Practical service areaLocal demand, documented operating limits and required approvals must support a responsible initial operating area.
  5. Transparent rider termsPricing, hours, boundaries, accessibility and support details must be public before launch.

RIDER EXPERIENCE

A future independent program may differ from Tesla’s service.

Tesla’s current Model Y Robotaxi service uses its app for trip requests, destinations, fare estimates, vehicle arrival and support. We will not present that workflow as the final independent Cybercab experience unless Tesla publishes the necessary operator terms and technology.
